  • My car decided it had air suspension this evening.

Ok halp. I just came home from work with a stop at my corner store, up to there everything is fine. I do the 1km drive to my house and get out and my car decides it has air suspension for the evening. First I thought it was my tires but they are all fine and it looks like it's coming from the radiator. Has this happened to anyone before? http://youtu.be/YgWMhc8M9_M

Getting it towed tomorrow morning to 5th avenue. Kind of annoying because I was supposed to go to Stampede tomorrow morning to finally get my ding on my rear bumper repaired. Double whammy.

Oh well hopefully it is nothing big..

I get a ride in a tow truck again tomorrow! Yay!

x2 on sounding like a vacuum leak.

If it was from the rad you wouldnt be hearing much noise, it just ends up spraying everywhere and making a huge mess. Also maybe check your A/C system, a fill/discharge port may have lost it's one way valve abilities and one of them is right down by the condenser i believe.

So I just got a call back from the garage. No warranty. I supposedly had a ton of mud and grass under the car and it cracked the radiator support in half which then pushed against all the internals which broke the AC compressor which caused the sound. So it'll cost me 1470$ to fix it. I must have short term memory loss because I have no idea where I would have smashed under the car hard enough to brake the radiator support. No physical damage to the front of the car either, I would have noticed that yesterday while trying to see what was the problem. Sigh...

Drive it? Or get it towed over?

Wasn't it you that went in the ditch once or twice this winter?

Might be someone else. Can't remember.

                Someone driving on summers tho.

I went in the ditch in November during the first snow. Then I got stuck once with my winters. During that in december I had hit a block of Ice and screwed my drivers belt on the engine. Went in for repairs at the garage, and they replaced the plastic undercarriage and the belt. It ran fine until now. No idea if that had a relation to my problem. They just said there was mud and grass everywhere, but I don't remember going offroading with my car, nor hitting grass and mud..

I guess that's what i'm going to do yeah... Worst part is that I am not that low. I actually even raised my coil overs to a more decent height thinking I would avoid these problems. I guess not. 2200$ later I think I got the point. I'll get a metal skid plate ASAP.
