At this point I am an out of shape guy in my upper 30's looking to get back into playing some rec soccer. I looked around online at what's available but unsure where I would fit in so I figured I would see if anyone one here plays in a casual type men's or coed league That would fit the bill.

Not sure what competitiveness level you are looking for, but for mens league just go on www.cusa.ab.ca and check out which teams are looking for outdoor players. Obviously Mens leage will be much more competitive than coed, but if you find a team below div 4 the competitiveness should not be too strong. Just feel them out and see how they play.

As for coed, unfortunately I cant help you. I'm playing on a team this season (indoor summer league), however i'm the rook and not sure if they are looking for more players or not.

I'm just now O-35, but had a massive injury in December, that has me apprehensive about soccer -- I'm a goalie.
(hockey and snowboarding I'm good with though)

I play for Lads, and will be playing with the Elites for a tourney, but have really only committed to coed.

If mens is the direction you wish to go, I suggest checking out try-outs with Masters div 2 or 1 clubs, and evaluating yourself & with the coach. I urge you to get on your horse though, as we just had our second practice last night.

Yes I saw the divisions but unsure where I would fit. I have not played since moving to Calgary 15 years ago. But played all my life before that I am just out of shape and practice bit I do not see that as much of an issue. I just generally want to get out and play.

Season starts in May. i think most teams are almost done registering but doesn't hurt to try. I've never played soccer up until 3 years ago. Like you, i just wanted to get into shape and the coed soccer has been fun and great for that. There is always going to be some people who are rough no matter the level. our team is usually at the lowest competitive level and we still had constant rough housing more often than not. one of our players got pushed down and ball stomped by the goalie. age range is quite broad as well.

I need to get back into shape and start playing again. All my car accidents have caught up with me and I have put on way too much weight. being a keeper that doesn't help. I recently starting playing indoor coed ball hockey. Cheaper than soccer and still a lot of fun.

I play in Fusion soccer league, which is co-ed.

Very relaxed 7 aside, inddor and outdoor depending on season. Starting outdoor in a couple of weeks.
Games are refereed fairly, and skills vary (but nobody is absolutely shite lol).

Fittness wise - doesn't really matter, as it is a quick subbing format.
Ages - I figure 25-38ish (I'm 30).
Very well organized.
