photoshop question?

How do you blend in the edge of a photo? I'm trying to take a photo and fade the edges out to white... to blend into the background.

If you are trying to copy a portion of a picture onto a different picture and want the edges to transition select a lasso tool and change the feathering effect to however many pixels and copy and then paste onto your other photo. When you paste your image you can go into layers and change other options as well.
