  • Is this wheel fixable?

Pulled off the rotiforms to get them cleaned up and stuff, noticed one of the wheels has a crack on the inside of the barrel.

I don't see how this could have happened in the last week since i have owned them as I haven't hit any big Pot holes, but the previous owner said he had no issues when he ran them last summer. Regardless who's fault it is, I should have done a better job inspecting them before buying. im wondering if this is fixable?

I'm also wondering if the wheel will ever be straight again? While I was driving I could hear a subtle notice from the wheel. Will that go away after fixing? Wheels are now off the car and will either be sold at a lower price to compensate, or fixed and sold later.

    Thanks.

I've had worse fixed at Alberta wheel. When they were done It ran straight and true.
Just make sure you plan ahead... they don't work fast and always seem to have"delays" :/

Any wheel repair shop should be able to repair that crack, maybe you can just refinish them with some unique finish and keep them instead of selling them on so quickly

Thanks, I suppose I'm not in too much of a rush to get them finished, although I was planning to have them sold. Oh well I guess . Thats good news that this should be able to be repaired then. Any ideas on cost?

I won't be refinishing them. It's not that I don't think the style of wheel looks good, it's the wheels are too large for my liking. I will be getting smaller wheels with slightly higher offsets

                  Re: Is this wheel fixable?

definitely fixable. I took mine to Alberta Wheels. I had an inner barrel crack and a bend. They fixed both for $125ish if I remember right. Now is a good time to get it done. I took it in to them last month, dropped it off on a Friday, got it back 3 days later.

That's definitely repairable. Alternative to Alberta Wheel, give Joe Viveiros @ Kwicksilver wheel repair a call @ 403-617-7085.

I dropped off 2 x 17" BBS RSs. Rare? Yes. Did they treat them accordingly? No.

They spray bombed the lips with shitty silver paint that never actually dried.

They also did a **** job of what I actually asked to be done, which was fix some minor curb rash. They used a file, and ground the edges down. $350 please.

                              Sighhhh.
