  • Sound Damping Deadening

The rear parcel shelf of the 911 has a sound proofing material that is part damping via a heavy rubbery bit and a thicker fibery insulation bit. Anyway it is old, decrepit and stinky and I’ve already ripped some of it out to install my rear 3-point belts and as such there is a bit more sound harshness in the car from that area. Trust me, this car needs no help in producing extra sound.

I’d like to get some dynamat etc and an absorber too but it seems these materials are only sold in larger sizes than I’d need. The area is about 1’X2.5-3’. Any thoughts?

B-Quiet is a great place, that is where i use all my trunk stuff for my air setup and it works great. Shipping is cheap because it is in Lethbridge and it isn't too expensive either

I've got a bulk pack of Stinger Roadkill Expert if you just want to grab a couple sheets off me.

          PM me.

Might even have some Overkill laying around. It's a MLV + CCF type material I believe.

I love Hushmat. It's available in smaller size packs. Visions carries it. I used to know the owner of B-Quiet when it first started and it was good product as well.

Cheers to Jordan for the sound deadening stuff. Amazing what a little NVH improvement can do even in a rackety tub like the 911. Much better.
