  • Travel Agent?

Anyone on here a travel agent?

I want to go to Mexico or etc for new years. I have looked on Expedia and a few others but how on earth do you know which hotel in a package is good?

Every single hotel review I have read has both good and bad reviews, how does one know which hotel is good or bad? Just go with the average rating system?

I'm not a travel agent, but I tend to go with the last recent 3 review when booking a hotel, it's usually a good indication of what it's like right now.

Depends on if you're going to party or see/do things or relax...

If you go to Cancun, pick something near the middle of the hotel zone as you don't want to be too far from all the action and rely on cabs when it's super busy.

A hotel that offers complementary airport shuttle is a nice perk, as it costs about US$50 for a cab. To go like 15 miles.

            Re: Travel Agent?

The wife uses trip advisor to make sure the hotel is good. I've been to Mexico 8 times and I've only disliked one hotel. We typically book 1 month from the time we want to go to try and get the best deal.
I don't read to much into the reviews, I like to look at the pics and judge from them for the most part. What hotel are you looking at odds are pretty good someone on here has been there?
We are actually going to the Mayan on Sunday.

I have been a few times. But in the past just used a travel agent. I guess my question was how to differ from all the reviews. I think the most recent would prob be my best bet as well not to read to deep into them
