Re: Anyone have experience with minerva tires?

Thanks for all the replies guys. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on them once I do some more research on offsets and stuff.

I think I'll be fine with Quattro and a somewhat budget tire

You're looking at the Privat winter package at concept 1 aren't you? Lol. I was thinking about selling my Hakkas to buy that package too but I'd rather run stock wheels and have very nice winters than run cheap winters on nicer wheels.

Why is it too small? Aren't winters supposed to be somewhat skinny? Pretty sure the wheels are 8.5's

225/40 is the standard size is it not?? Id think for winter tires that would be just about perfect.

the difference between the 224/40r18 and 235/40r18 is only .3" in height, not enought to cause any issue.

We do 225/45/18 on all our BMW winter tires. 40 on E90's.

who's guessing? and why "MUST" it be within +/-3% of OEM? worst case senario is the tires rub and the speedo isnt correct. Theres no "MUST BE" in the tire industry, theres recommended. only tire shop i know that doesnt alter tire size is Costco.

Cheap winter tires are going to be way better than any high end all season, get what you can and keep yourself safer and others too.

I thought legally that the tire diameter had to be such that the speedometer was less than 6% different than using the stock tire size for that vehicle? That way people couldn't use the excuse for speeding lol

If that was the case all those raised trucks with oversize tires would be being pulled over all the time.
