How to tell early or late VIN on my Audi?

Hey I'm trying to order a timing belt kit for a little preventative maintence and they ESC is showing a late or early VIN option.

They say pre or post VIN 8E-4-191001. my vin doesn't read it quite like that.

Can someone lend a hand figuring it out? I did some online vin decoding but it didn't sort it out.

Well that 4 is the 10th digit, which means 2004, then the last digits are 191001. So below that (191000) is pre-, and above (191002) is post-.

Okay, mine reads E94a159xxx so it would be below I guess. It was the E-4-190xxx that was confusing me ..... ( not like that is really hard)

ECS, with the water pump and all that jaz. I need 2 window regulators now so the $80 ones look appealing. Motor mounts including snub. and not sure about the test pipe, but I want to put a little fun into this list.

FYI, ECS is a huge rip off when it comes to shipping and the other associated fees.

Local suppliers are always your best bet, if they have what you're looking for in the first place.

And, as it happens, I have all four window regulators just gathering dust. PM me if you're interested.

Shoot onceover, sorry I didn't see this. I didn't hear back from a couple other places so I ended up dropping my car off at Concept1 on Wednesday.

First time with them so hopefully they do good work and their labor is what they quote. Their parts prices are great so i'm looking forward to taking the car for a rip when I get back to town next week!
