Hey guys I think my rear camber is off but I would like to have it checked at somewhere that can give me the measurements, also does anyone have a camber gauge I could borrow? And do any of the mk4 guys have spare camber shims laying around?

I use Precision Alignment & Brake they understand lowered cars with upgraded suspensions. Top of the line equipment. 3D printout of your setup.

A few of us had bad luck with precision when we went as a group. Just as a forwarning.

Alignments are like a box of chocolates you never know what your going to get.
But 99% of the time you end up with the shitty coconut one.2020 Toyota Corolla Hatch (At least its a Manual!)

I only take my car to Chad @ Kaltire on 32nd for alignment. Seeing as he has a mk4 as well he knows a lot about the car and he has taken really good car of me and overseen the work personally on several occassions. Knowing about the IDF drop plates and airride etc has put him on the list of very few people i trust with my car.

Re: Where to go for an alignment check?
I do toe alignments myself with a fairly simple setup, and it is very accurate and drives straight, also I could dial in my own specs, I've done it on quite a few cars, so I don't need a shop to do that for me, just need a place to measure my camber since I don't know whether my axle is bent or the rear axle shifted.Current Fleet

Re: Where to go for an alignment check?
The problem with kal-tire/canadian tire, ect is that they are paid piece work so the quicker they finish the more money they make. Also the alignment for the tech/shop is just a foot in the door to fix what ever they feel is wrong. I have seen cars with brand new properly installed parts get told they need replacemnt by these types of places lots.
In terms of Kal-tire at 32nd, had a buddy with a mk4 tdi go there a little less then a year ago and you should have seen the list of things they found wrong for the insurance inspection. Little oil leak, can't pass, grease around a cv boot, must be broken(had already been replaced a couple 100 km's earlier and was fine), and the list went on for stupid things like this. Chad is probably a good guy, but if he is not doing the work or watching the tech anything goes.
I know my brother has brought his car to tunedub for alignments in the past and been happy. I am pretty sure he farms this out, but the alignment places treat cars from him differently then they do random guys off the street. They know he keeps brining in cars for them and they can't exactly pull a fast one on him.Ben

Re: Where to go for an alignment check?
Last time I checked George had his own alignment rig.
But with George you have to get on the waiting list!2020 Toyota Corolla Hatch (At least its a Manual!)

I always take my cars to George for an alignment. No complaints, seems like they do a good job. He did a tie rod on my winter beater, and i told him I didn't want an alignment as i'd be selling the car in a couple months. He somehow got the alignment spot on without getting it on the rack.Mitch

Re: Where to go for an alignment check?
if your rear camber is out, you have a bent beam as there is no adjustment for rear mk4 alignment. if you count the threads on a tie rod when you remove it, you can usually get it right back to the same spot. i've always just done this as it also makes your alignment go easier because it's already pretty much spot on, and means less work, for flat rate guys.you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3

Re: Where to go for an alignment check?
I think for a while I was having an alignment every week with Chad at Kal Tire, I guess it happens when you change cars and suspension like I was for a whileBlair
