      Re: R32 replacement options.

That WRX owner asked to trade me straight across for my S4..
My Sister has an Evo X, and while I havent driven it since she got an exhaust and tune, it really seemed to run out of breath early.

Ive been in the same boat looking..not a lot of fun cars between 20-25k, it seems you have to go higher.

Others that have come up (in trade offers)
      -BMW 335Xi
      -Subaru WRX
      -Some SUVs

I think something with around 3-350 crank hp is gonna be a lot of fun for me. If my r32 was manual, I would be keeping it no problem. Seems like enough power to me.

          Re: R32 replacement options.

Ive found that 3-350+ crank can be a tall order for ~25k, unless you happen to find a great deal or something that is modified.

So far the choices Ive found are:
          -Audi S4
          -BMW 335/135
          -Subaru STi
          -Mitsu Evo X

Its a mix of been there done that, crappy interior or maintenance concerns. (Keep in mind Im an old man and may have different requirements! ha ha..)

          The joy of car shopping!

Ya sorry I meant to say eventually being 350 crank, just needs to have the capability. Car shopping is fun but also stressfull haha.

Lots of power, but also lots of maintenance. If its done well you shouldnt have anything right away..but small items do come up over time. I went through 2 Stage 3 S4 sedans...I still miss my last one!

Ya i Know. I just keep dreaming about a high power, stick, Avant/wagon. Once you go 500+ its hard to go back.

From the Golf to the R32, you roughly doubled the horsepower... might as well do that again!

they are fairly reliable as long as you keep up with maintenance but there are some small things that come with a stage 3 car... that being said all you need to do is drive one... thats what i did and after driving marks stage 3 i had to have one, ask for a ride next time i show up to a meet

I won't say no to that haha. Boyband have me a ride in his old yellow s4 and I kinda shat my pants. I'm curious to see what the allroad would be like.
