Audi #1 R18 E-Tron wrecked

Looks like the #1 R-18 E-Tron wrecked wile on a practise run. Thankfully Duval is fine though.

The pictures made it look worse then it was. Apparently only the back end was destroyed. I'd leasure to guess they borrowed a monocoque from #2?

I think they had a spare body and rebuilt the rest...

Had a spare monocoque, rebuilt it in less than 24 hours to get it ready for qualifying. other teams were amazed they were able to get it done in time.
Really looks like its going to be a race between Porsche and Toyota, the Audi's were almost a second behind in final qualifying.

Audi's rarely have the fastest outright speed, they tend to run the "tortoise" race and come out on top, at least that is how the majority of the Audi/Peugot battles played out
