As most of you are aware Worthersee is the must see VW show in Europe, and it has been a dream of mine for many years to experience this show that takes place in Southern Austria. Since relocating to the UK I have been much closer, but last year I had my Masters dissertation due just weeks after the show so it was not possible for me to make the trip. This year however, I had a few commitments but was able to find some time, especially after Audi released pics of the A3 Clubsport Quattro Concept so Bart and I made plans to go check it out.
The first day was a 245am alarm for me with an hour taxi to Heathrow, than a 2.5 hour plane ride to Poland, to then commence a 10 hour drive through Poland, the Czech Republic and then across Austria. A long way to go but it was worth it to take the trusty Canadian Spec TTRS to this crazy event, plus over the last couple years this has been the closing thing I have to a car as this was our third European road trip in it, no unlimited Autobahn time this trip though, max speeds are 130km/h in these countries.
So on with the pics of what we experienced, I should note these are all cell phone pics, unedited and my phone is near upgrade time so not the greatest quality, but you all get the idea.

We did make one small detour along the way, a stop in a small village outside Graz in Austria, home to the Arnold Schwarzenegger museum. It was closed but we got to check out his statue!
Now Worthersee is the lake, there are actually several towns that surround the lake, it is about a 40Km loop around the entire lake. After arriving in late at night and resting up we made a trip to the famous gas station on the Eastern end of the lake it is an Eni station and not a Shell as some people think, one of the main gathering points with cars hanging out here for about 2-3 weeks total. There we tanked up the car, gave it a wash in the popular bays and checked out the scene a little.
