Homeowners: Patio Cost?

Hey all

I think there are some homeowners on here, I thought someone might have some knowledge...

We are looking at putting a concrete "paver" patio in our back yard, its about 20' x 25' and the land needs to be levelled off first.

I have been trying to find a landscaping company to do the work and quotes are all over the place. Online I am seeing people suggest that it should cost around 12$/sq-ft with labor and materials ($6000) but I have gotten one quote as high as $35,000 which seems insane.

Can anyone speak to having a patio layed down, how much it should cost in Calgary, recommendations etc? Anyone ever do anything like this?

Kris,

35,000 is outrageous. Pretty sure you got that price because they don't want the work. I've heard that they are expensive and don't always turn out great. I know someone that does stamped concrete for about 10k if you're interested.

I second the stamped concrete, and for that size colored and stamped you should be under 10000, just remember to plan ahead and add gas lines for heaters and whatever else you might need first

I just passed this on to a friend of min that has a landscaping company...I'll let you know what he says...he may be able to do it...and he's reasonable.

You can look up "pro paving " the owner is a long time family friend. Their work is absolutely top notch.
