Looks cool...I'd be scared that the valve would open if I hit a big bump or something.

Yeah no thanks. It's not exactly hard to unscrew the bolt every few months.

          Re: Easy oil plug

It all depends on the Vehicle. I picked up a couple of these. On the audis it is not worth it at all, but on the Diesel Jeep it is perfect. I used to have to take down a heavy steel skid plate and even then oil would go everywhere. Now with the quick drain plug all I need to do an oil change is a rag. I don't even have to raise it off the ground. Just reach under push on a 10" piece of tubing flick the leaver and that is it. Since it is a top mount cartridge filter there is nothing else under the truck to do. Easiest oil change ever.

            Re: Easy oil plug

This is something some big fleets use on heavy trucks that i have come across. Has a better fail safe. Made by Femco

1- Remove the little brass cap.(which acts as a safe guard)
2- Thread on the hose and it acts on a little valve in the plug.
            3- Drain the oil.

No mess and easy, it's a great system. Not sure if they make smaller for car.

Only downfall is when you don't have the hose, your forced to pull the plug.

I like the second one, seems to be lower profile, I think the first wouldn't fit when you have a skid plate.
