  • looking into building new house

We have a rc-2 lot 60x100 the house is old and we are now looking at it as an investment and not a home.
We are looking into building something to later sell.
options of building a semi-detached [two homes with a common wall]
    or 2 separate buildings
which would be more preferred in your opinion and why
    area is wildwood area
also a unfinished or finished basement,
    Thanks for reading

Re: looking into building new house

I think 2 separate house's .. Single family homes sell higher then duplexes, finished or unfinished basement either or .. I think it's better to upgrade in other areas of the house if possible ..eg finishes flooring etc..just my 2 cents

From an investment standpoint a duplex usually makes the most sense. What you do with your parcel depends on budget of course but also which part of Wildwood you're in. Unless I'm mistaken, north of spruce drive is primarily single family houses & south of spruce drive would be better for duplexes...

A coworker of mine helped a client with a reno in Wildwood that sold immediately for 800K when the market was still soft... it's a good area and there are lots of options but I'd need to know a little more about your lot and your goals/timeline to best advise.

Feel free to get in touch (.836.3236.) or post more details here and I'll be happy to help you out.

      Cheers,
      Monty
