Did front struts on the wife's Mazda5. Could not break the top nut on the strut free to get the springs off, and my impact is weaksauce, so ended up cutting the old struts in half to get the springs off. Oh well, didn't loose too much time. Other than that it was a pretty easy job.

Amazingly despite what I thought it's not widespread in the rocker and is just surface. However it seems that the rust likes to travel under the protective goop they put on there. If it has come loose, then there is rust just under the surface. The goop looks solid but pry a bit with a screwdriver and it comes off easily and reveals the rust underneath.
Ordered 10mm all around spacers for my BBS, they should be here in time for the rims to be mounted thursday! Also contacted Audi about getting Supercharged badges for my fenders.
