Re: What did you do to your car today?
Spent roughly 4 hours on Sunday re-polishing and sealing my Classics..and only finished 3!
Not sure Id ever do a raw aluminum wheel ever again....looks are tough to beat, but they are a royal pain in the ass.
Interested to see how the PoorBoys wheel sealant holds up..

My guess is that the sealant will last a few months. Could be wrong though.
If and when you decide to do it again I'd look into something like this.

Or if you're ever looking to sell the classics LMK.Last edited by JVD; 04-28-2014, 05:12 PM.

Re: What did you do to your car today?
Gave her an oil change and finally put in some nice spark plugs (FR5DTC's)
Put on my Cupra R lip
Then I debadged it
But I let my friend do the A4 part.
It came out a little worse than I wanted, But theres a lot of chrome fade. So I need to buff / polish it anyways. PLUS my entire car has tons of small scratches / swirls ALL over it...
Any suggestions for the chrome fade?
And any suggestions on whether or not to keep the Quattro or not?
And I didnt get around to putting on the Test Pipe. :( Any tips on the O2 sensors? They are hard as balls to take off..Last edited by makaheehee; 04-29-2014, 09:38 PM.

I was strongly advised to stay away from permanent sealants for the CCWs as they will all peel at some point and you lose a lot of the shine. If anything they would be clear anodized for durability.
The wheels dont fit all that well on the B5, which was part of the reason I sold the car. The fronts end up sticking out a bit further then I liked and would most likely rub on any bumps etc. Rears fit perfectly though...
