hrmm if you can splurge i'd almost do 6 laps in a cayman s drive nice for 4 and hard for 2.. finish the lap.. wink at the wife and say YOLO! meh to the money

I think less is more in this case for the first experience on such a beast, still something I need to do as well!!!

This is exactly what I'm thinking. I ended up deciding on the Clio Cup Sport, and have the option when I get the track to upgrade to the Megane R (if the track is dry).

The ring no longer allows video of any kind - even they won't provide you with a video camera.

I do have a few pictures which were taken by some professional photographers however, and I'll post those up shortly when I get back.

Honestly, it was one of the most exciting things I've ever done. The weather was perfect, and because it was early in the season there was absolutely no line-up and the track was very empty. I ended up going with the Renault Magane R (265hp), which was more than enough. The single biggest thing that struck me throughout the laps was just how easy it was to get into trouble because of the constant elevation changes, and because almost every corner is completely blind. They tell you over 80% of the corners are blind, and they most definitely aren't exaggerating!

As a side note..... in retrospect I don't really think I drove the track very well (you only notice that after you're done). I had an instructor for the first lap, and his constant message was "on the track almost every apex is late", and "slow is fast".
