Well it looks like we could be in for a very interesting season with the new turbo engines as all teams are reported to have problems and there is even a suggested possibility that perhaps no one will be able to finish this first race of the season down under!!!

i think it will be a title fight between Mercedes and Ferrari this year, the Renault powered cars will be playing catch up all year. really hope one of the mid pack teams like Force India or Williams does good.

i think all the mercedes powered cars are going to fair well. it was nice to see force india and the williams cars put in lots of laps and even show some speed. while i can appreciate the dominating show of the last 4 years, it will be really nice to see everything mixed up again. i'm more hyped to see multiple plumes of smoke from blown engines, over an actual winner, this race lol

and the cars are ugly. i read that the FIA says they will make changes to it for next year because they agree.
you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3

Caught some of the practice session last night, and as much as I hate to say... that sound is a let down. Maybe I'm just accustomed to the shriek of the v10s or the wail of the v8s but...

The sound is not very F1 ish. I guess even though the new engines will rev to 15k they are way out of the power band so they are shifting at a very low 7500-8000 rpm so they never will get to that familiar sound.

on a side note here is a kind of cool video of the some of the changes.

I watched the GP this weekend. Good to see the Aussie get on the podium. But yeah the sound just doesn't do it for me.

I really hope this year bring actual racing not the rule racing and a race against technology instead of eachother. Hamilton got called into the pits "Lewis we're done, we can't risk hurting the engine we need it for the season" or vettel not having his energy recovery system and needing to retire.
It's still really early but when the fuel flow rait cost Ricardo his second place finish I really have to wonder. Smaller engines, less fuel, more and more technology, less aero and more and more restrictions and regulations through out the car. I want racing On the track. Not an engineering race. Which is what I think this season will be.

It is going to be crazy for sure. Even though it sadly will never sound the same...

But then again the change from the v10's to the v8's was a change too.
