What are you listening to currently??

Just thought I would get a thread going for a little musical appreciation, so post up what is in heavy rotation in the cd player or Ipod these days.

My favorite band of the moment is a group called Funeral For a Friend that is a punk/emo outfit based out of Wales. A few of my fav tracks are "Storytelling" and "She drove me to daytime tv". They will be touring in North America soon in support of one of my other favorite bands Coheed & Cambria but of course they have only 2 dates in Canada

Anyway post up what you guys are enjoying these days!

umm i always listen to tupac, zeppelin, the strokes, the darkness, umm hot hot heat, nas, jayz, biggie, neil young some other stuff

The new bands I've been listening to over the last week or two are Pilate (Canadian band, kind of a cross between Radiohead and Crowded House) and Metric (very cool and hard to describe... I can hear Radiohead, Pixies and lots of 80's analog synth - also Canadian (originally)).

Give them a listen if you have the chance!

I've been listening to The Shins a lot these days. Metric is mad hot as well as Hot Hot Heat and Broken Social Scene.

Of course, there's a usual amount of The Strokes, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Radiohead and of course Tenacious D...

Tenacious D rocks my ass off. I have the 2 DVD "Complete Masterworks". I highly recommend it.
