Jesus the only thing that car in the first link needs is a sleeper engine of some sort. Just gorgeous!

Wheels are quite 80s but not the stretch.. But for $100 I can't really argue! Front springs will be cut soon!

        1) Jerry, please dont. Lower it properly if you must
        2) If you want to keep the resale value of this car as high as possible, keep the stock springs in good condition
        3) Did you buy those wheels off Mitch? They look pretty good!

Cut springs on these old BMW's actually ride and handle pretty good still. Just as long as you don't cut a lot of coils.

Stock springs are uber soft, and it's already got Koni yellow shocks so I might as well give it a try. Only cutting half to one coil. If it doesn't ride well I will get H&R sport springs though.

I'm with Pat. Cutting that little off probably won't make much of a difference in height anyways. Springs really aren't all that expensive, so I'd buy the H&Rs. I have H&R Sports and Bilsteins in my E30 and they're great... they're stiff enough to kill off the body roll but soft enough to be comfortable for hours on end.

I'm not slamming the car so I might as well give it a try

Re: Popular 70s/80s Car Modification s

That article is straight out of the 70's.

We are 40 years more knowledgeable than that.

Keep in mind in 50 years, we went from the first flight, to a moon landing.

                      Please don't cut your springs.

Ruined it with the stretched wheels. Oh well. I'm sure none of you were alive in the 70s anyway.

Wheels look sweet on there, even better when lowered.
