Calgary Auto & Truck Show

Well the Auto & Truck Show is upon us once again. Is anyone planning on going? Maybe we should make an informal event out of it? For whoever is interested, we could all meet down there on Sat or Sun at a certain time... have a look around. Anyone interested in this? If so, post up when you'd like to go.

I'd like to go sometime either tonight, Friday night or Saturday sometime.

I went yesterday...

The Calgary show kinda licks 'cause there's really no new concepts, it's just the dealers showing off their inventory.

Don't get me wrong though, I had an awesome time and recommend that everyone go.

The new GLI is wicked and the RS6 is madness

I was planning on going, either today or over the weekend.

If anyone else is going, give me a call and I will go too.

Yeah there are only dealer cars, but it is fun to sit in the expensive ones Plus, not often do you get all of the cars together in one place. It really helps you evaluate how the manufacturers compare, and where they are going.

yah i enjoyed sitting in the SL55 AMG last year, couldnt fit inside it though :( had to have my knee's on the dash to close the door

I'm going to see the V50. I really want a good look at that car, according to many of the reviews it's going to be awesome.

i just got back, good show. i loved the gli jetta, looked very nice and classy. if i had money i would buy it. still, cant beat those seats. rs6 was nice, apparently they didnt sell in the US, so they have 6 avail for canada or something like that.

overall good show, nothing special. did someone say there was a maybach there? i didnt see it....

They are supposed to have 90 RS6s for Canada, rumor has it that around 10 will becoming to Calgary with over half pre sold well in advance. Still trying to convince my Dad to replace the All Road with one but probably not going to happen

whats the v50?...

Sorry, the new Volvo Wagon. Smaller than the V70 by quite a bit. The T5 comes in all wheel drive 220hp 5cyl turbo (Basically the detuned R engine) and the 6 spd manual. It also uses the Focus suspension and lots of other goodies. I think it'll do well here. I'm sorry, I know it's a VW forum but I've always had a soft spot for Volvos Sportswagens. it's already out in Europe and seems to be getting good reviews.
