This. Not only is it an impression you give of yourself, but it also is an impression you give of your car club and more-so the car modifying crowd in general.

Being offensive towards others (intentional or unintentional, you never know how people will take above license plates) via swearing or rude language is never acceptable IMO. Doesn't matter if it is a joke or not because 95% of people will not understand the joke and will just take offense to the verbiage used, and of the 5% who understand the joke 95% of those people will either disagree with the joke (especially in biased car bases) or think of it in bad taste.

Myself, i have 3 stickers on my car. 2 x eurodrivers.ca banners in the lower rear window triangles so that they are low enough and small enough so that passing traffic can't even see them but anybody specifically checking out my car in a parking lot can take note of the website and come visit. Selective advertising
Same goes with the BagRiders sticker on the upper left hand corner of my back windshield. Far enough up so that i can't see it in my rear view mirror and small enough so that passing cars cannot see or read it.
Both varieties are non-offensive and are promoting great companies/entities that have given back to their community in many ways and deserve the recognition.

For decals I have no issue advertising the brands I back. If they are good they deserve to get out there. And hey, maybe I get them another customer! I know my JB4 one certainly sold a fellow 335 driver on it! That and they help distinguish enthusiests from Joe blow car driver. I know BMW drivers have a terrible rap for being stuck up assholes, I want no part in that generalization, I'm a care enthusiest, I drive what I drive because I'm after its specs, I don't car what brand it is.

But yeah, I'd never put anything offensive on my car again. I don't know what I was thinking!

By the way Mech, you helped a buddy of mine out with his Jetta issues, thanks muchly!

Don't know if you knew his real name or not, but Anthony. He had a Jetta 2.0 that had a few colourful issues, I think you helped with something about the clutch position sensor and the failed VSS. The car ended up getting scrapped, but it lasted.
