    Oh and when the idiot hit my front I was one the way to get my tires mounted on my new wheels, with a bunch of Euro parts in the trunk, so there was no way I wasn't keeping mine.

      Just don't get into an accident in BC, they have a rule in place which does not allow owners to buy back their vehicles from insurance, if it's been written off, then you lost it unless you have an auction license and go to the auction and buy it back there.

        Didn't read the whole thread, but I have gone through this same thing.

        My insurance company offered me well below market value. I provided a list of comparable vehicles for sale. They ended up paying me out more than it probably would have sold for.

          I'd negotiate the price with your insurer. They might go up 10-20% if you make your case properly. Somewhere in the $3,500 range seems fair to me for this car IMO.
