Very sad for sure. I was reading about him earlier since I didn't really know all that much about him... Sounds like he was a very friendly and down to earth kind of guy and also a huge car enthusiast. His collection is absolutely awesome.

Very sad indeed as the Fast & Furious franchise has been a very important series for us automotive enthusiasts and he appears to have been a very genuine and caring individual who has left this world all too soon. RIP Paul Walker and thoughts and prayers to all your family and friends!!

A very bad wreck indeed, not hard to think no one survived :(

Some pics of the AE collection owned by Walker taken at the charity event earlier in the day

And a little eerie but my wife will be at this game park in South Africa later today

He spent most of his life giving back through his organization ROWW and will be remembered. Curious as to what happens to his character in FF. I doubt he will be killed giving the nature of his death in real life..

Very sad as he wasn't just an racecar actor, but a true enthusiast and a good hearted person. Its sad that bad things happen to good people. Very young age to pass on. RIP Paul Walker.

They say the good ones die young. I'd say this is a perfect example of that. He was a great actor, down to earth and good hearted person.
He legit played a role in my life as I was always a F&F fan as a kid and I always thought PW was awesome. I'm definitely saddened by this :(

Usually I don't care too much about celebrity deaths, but this hits pretty close to home for a lot of us I think. We all know the impact the F&F series had on the car scene and how the movies inspired many people to get into cars. So sad to see someone so young pass away like this. Very tragic indeed.

Roger Rodas driving was his business partner and professional driver as well.

                        Bit more info I found:

Sources connected to Always Evolving -- the shop co-owned by Walker and the Porsche driver Roger Rodas -- tell TMZ they saw evidence of a fluid burst and subsequent fluid trail before the skid marks at the accident scene.

The AE sources point to the fact there is a noticeable absence of skid marks until just before the point of impact. They say if Roger had lost control the skid marks would show swerving, but instead the marks were in a straight line. They feel this cements the theory the driver didn't have steering control.

Also suspicious -- the fire spreading so quickly in the front of the car. The sources say flames would be expected in the rear where the engine is ... but fire in the front reinforces their theory of a fluid leak of some sort.

But definitely such a sad death, loved all the movies even if some of the acting was terrible.
Especially since he was much more than just an actor and got so many people into cars.

I'm assuming brake fluid or power steering fluid?

Yeah Steering fluid would make sense for the crash if he didn't have control or struggled to control it? Plus fluid on tires is never good for traction. If it was breaks he could have down shifted, using the engine to slow down.

I mean that is my thinking anyways.

A sad loss of life. Always liked the movies he was in and I have seen a ton of them. Into the blue was pretty good(plus Jessica Alba). It will be interesting to see how the accident investigation plays out. I can see these two hooning it a little but not enough to get themselves killed without some type of mechanical failure.
