There isn't a referenced working point for me to draw from, as this drive was imported from a now decommissioned machine, and I inherited these Administrative properties. The drive in question (G: Big Media) is brand new to the machine, so a restore would be irrelevant.

Have you tried using admin command prompt?

I know how to open the Command Prompt as an Administrator, but I don't know which commands to input to fix this.

I followed this guide, and still i get the error

          http://www.preyerplanning.com/take-o...-windows-7.pdf

I then go into Advanced Sharing for the drive, and receive an error: "An error occurred while trying to share G. Incorrect function. The shared resource was not created at this time."

Try this make sure to have the correct path and use admin command prompt
                TakeControlOf

Another suggestion is to run safe mode with command prompt and run that

Well guys, I tried the utility and -- it performed the TakeControl--- So far so good.. I again try to share, and the stupid drive still wont' share.

I've decided I'm going to manually move all the data, to another drive, and then format this problematic one.

Thanks for all your help nonetheless!

Maybe reformatting is the best idea. Sorry nothing suggested worked for you.
