What's your favourite road to drive your Euro on in or around Calgary?

I've only driven it once, but old banf coach road seems to be quite fun.

I had a quite relaxing time cruising on the new Stoney trail.

I remember doing quite a few runs on Old Banff Coach Road with my Scirocco back in the day. Fun times. I would be in my Scirocco and my buddy in his GTI. He had that GTI for like 20 years... Black Mk2 GTI vs Red Mk2 Scirocco 16v. So much fun.

I do it at least twice a month, just be careful for deers....

EDIT: 1A is nice. The road from calgary to mission is awesome, great sceneries, a little harsh on the tires though.

I got a speeding ticket on good ol old banff coach this summer. Radar detector didn't save me from the ticket but it did save me from a catastrophic one...

Were they camped out or driving the road as well? Was it RCMP or Alberta sheriffs?

This and old Banff coach road is my commute. Every day. Monday through Friday.

Bow Valley Parkway is cools.

Icefield Parkway is KILLER if you don't mind a bit of a drive.

They were camped out (see x on map below) and I was heading west. Not sure what kind of po po other than it wasnt RCMP. I was full beans out of the left hand headed west and there was no one in front of me so he just popped on the radar as I went past. I shut it down asap once the radar detector alerted but that was too late.
