Re: Another bags vs coils thread.

I am not on either side of the argument but, judging by the video, those have got to be the worst set of Coil-overs ever made. The amount of roll and bounce shown in the video looks to be about 10 times worse than a stock R.

Take a look at this capture from a relatively slow corner.

On a side note has anybody else noticed how much better the R is over the BRZ in all tests. Bags or Coils, that is impressive!!

I posted it on FB and all I can say is that since I bagged the Jetta the car is 100% more enjoyable. I had ST's which were fine...but collars/perches removed in the rear, no adjustability left, front was all the way down but one thread. I rubbed a lot, had to really slow down for dips in the road, couldn't get in many parking lots, couldnt get over speedbumps in some cases...could barely have a passenger because at every bump I'd hit subframe. I wanted it that low because it looked great...now with bags I can go lower, have passengers and go wherever the hell I want!
      Bagged 2004 Jetta GLS 1.8T Stage 2 Unitronic, 2016 Tiguan R-Line , S13 SR20DET, Mk2 VR6 Project, 2011 Dodge Ram 1500

Shouldn't be a big shock IMO. More grip, more power.

It should be a bit of an eyebrow raise since the tested weight the of the cars in the video shows the BRZ at 2764lbs and the R at 3470. A whopping 706 lbs!!! Takes a lot of ponies and torques to make that up in a handling test. The R is an impressive package.

i was going to put coils on the e28 but i won't be able to make it up over the curb and up the driveway if it's any lower. bags is my answer. i don't track the car and i just want to have the best of both worlds. low, and parked inside.
you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3
