  • Movie Files & An iPad - Help

Well as my flight to Calgary approaches quickly and I cheaped out on an Air Transat ticket, I need to prepare in the event there are no seat back TVs on the plane, which is a strong possibility. I do have several movies and TV shows in both MKV and AVI formats already on my PC, now what is the best way to get them over and watch them on my iPad, and it should be noted I am still using an iPad 1. I am not against a pay app if that is best, something like Infuse looks tempting, but any tips or suggestions would be appreciated so I can pass the time in my own comfort!!

Handbrake is what I use also. Lets you pick what apple product your converting to also and converts accordingly for size. I set it to apple TV3 so they are all 1080p size and will still transfer to my iphone and ipads aswell as apple tv's.......

Another for VLC. Plays anything. If you want to convert to Apple formats and play through itunes then XMedia Recode.
