    my Synergy green Camaro was horrible to try and keep clean as well....only car colour Ive seen that "stays" clean is that medium grey colour, hides scratches and dirt

      Don't just wand wash and then dry your car. You will be putting scratches in the paint. Dragging all of the remaining dirt across the surface. Get a good waffle weave microfibre for drying.

      The wash mitt is a good idea if the only place you can wash is the wand bays. That way you know the car is getting clean before drying.

      I use Optimum No Rinse and I'm pretty pleased. Just wash by hand and then dry. If the car is really dirty I'll spray it off in a coin op first.

      Also, if your car never looks shiny it probably needs a polish. Waxes will help but don't work miracles. A car free of swirls will shine great even without any sort of sealant... although I wouldn't leave it without. Quick detailers really help between washes/waxes as well.

        Best color for a car to stay looking clean is Champagne! But I have a PG Jetta and it does get dirty quickly.
