I picked xbox as i love the halo/forza series. I also enjoy that i can just use my phone as a controller to navigate menu's and watch netflix. Backwards compatibility sounds like it will be pretty cool too.

The backwards compatibility has made me a very happy camper! I hadn't finished the Witcher 2 yet so am glad I'll be able to do so on the XB1.

Anyone tried it yet to see how well the upscaling works?

At the end of the day, XBOX people love their XBOX... and PS4 lovers love their PS4. Other than the occasional switch of a person here or there between platforms, most will stick to what they know... which really, puts it back to the games. For me, there are a number of PS franchises that I play so there is no way I'd ever switch to XBOX. Same goes for XBOX fans that would never come over to the PS side.

With all that aside, when it comes to racing... yes, it does piss me off that there is no Forza for PS. I would definitely buy it if it did. With that said, I have Project CARS now (available for both platforms) so I'm happy. Since GT6 was developed for the PS3, I'm pretty sure the new Forza will destroy it in every way for the time being. If I had to buy a console all over again, I'd still buy the console that had the most overall games I liked playing. For you, if that ends up being a PS and Project CARS isn't cutting it for you... perhaps you'll just have to be a jealous non-Forza'er with me for another year until GT7 comes out.

pumped for forza horizon. Its one game that i can always pick up and play and never gets old. On another note, i picked up a ps2 yesterday for 30bucks on kijiiji!

Find me a snes, for 30$ i really want one of those. Bought my sister a sega retro system and its horrible.

I'll buy your Sega system or if you find anyone selling a SNES for $30 or even $50 I'll buy it lol.

Also I will very probably buy into the upgrade cycle with the Xbox Scorpio, not ready to upgrade to a Slim though.

I dont have 4k tv yet so no point in upgrading for me
The sega system i got my sister is 50$ at bed bath and beyond.

I don't have a One at all so the Slim seems like a good time to get in and could last a while with it's 4K and UHD capabilities going forward for media options and I am not sure if I will need full 4K gaming so the Scorpio is not a must buy upon release for me. Plus I am currently in a position where I might be able to get it paid for as part of some upcoming changes in my living situation.

I was tempted to move up when xbox abandoned trying to cram the kinect down everyone's throat and trying to make it relevant in all their next gen games.

Then, Halo 5 came out so it kind of forced my hand haha.

Is Horizon 2 any good? I've been tempted to get it but still kind of pricey for what I find to be seemingly endless frustration given that I can't drive worth crap.

I built a lil arcade thing out of one of my raspberry pis with this http://recalbox.com . You can get fancy with Bluetooth controllers or whatever you want if it works over USB. I'm into it. It plays pretty much anything up to PSX era stuff.

I think I want a PS4 cause gran turismo.

Horizon 2 is good on xbox one, if you have a 360 I wouldnt recomend getting it

I went backwards... I bought a PS3. (Well I bought a PS4 and did the 30 day trade back and bought a PS3). Games so cheap, I get to play all the games I missed out on for the last 10 years..

I really have no problem with my 360, I still enjoy playing many games and I am not a triple A title person anyway so older used games, free with gold games and some classics in my collection still work well for how much I play and it works well for all the TV apps we use too, but I would love to get into Forza 6 and FH3 at some point.
