new car ideas: awd, manual, quick, etc

Hey guys,

As the title states, im thinking about picking up a new car.

I would like to get something thats: awd, pretty fun to drive, manual and i dont mind a wagon. ideally i would like to get one under 10k.

a tdi passat wagon with awd and manual would be the perfect car but i dont think they exist,sooo

the 2 main stipulations are AWD and Manual

Any suggestions?

You can get everything you want including the diesel part, just need to get one from over the pond. I have been looking at allroads with the 2.5 diesel in Europe for awhile now. Just need to wait another 2 years before you can bring them over. There are jetta's, passats, golfs, audi's ect awd you can get though.

Sell the r32 jump on the rs4 band wagon like me. Fun, fast, manual.
R32=20k +10k =30k = almost rs4.

why suggest an s4 or r32 to a guy who used to have an s4, and currently has an r32, who is looking for something different, under 10g's?

i would say subaru is really your only other choice. cheap, fast, AWD, local. is this for a second car? or are you selling your r32 and this is a replacement?

I always found subaru's interior just a major step down. You will get cheap, fast, and kinda fun though.

pretty hard to beat the r32 you currently have for quality fun awd

It was mentioned above but Subaru is a really good option (apart from the interiors which I really don't mind personally). I would be wary of the miled-out local WRX/Legacy GT wagons and perhaps look at a 98 or older WRX/STi wagon, Forester, or Legacy wagon from Japan.

Do NOT get a w8 passat. What a nightmare.
Subaru are tough to find not beat. Consider a volvo maybe? Tough to find with manual though.

B6 A4 avant (1.8T or 3.0, doubt you can go wrong with either)
Subaru WRX
Mitsubishi Evo VIII

Cant really think of other AWD cars that are fun to drive and under 10K

NO they didnt .. and vomit engines
