No experience with Raxles (yet) but was recommended to have them upgrade the axles on the MK5 R32 as well so we'll be doing that pretty shortly I believe. Recommendation also came from a very good/trustworthy source

I would look into why you are ripping a flexible rubber boot, doesn't sound right.

I've got raxles on the Black TDI, excellent service from them, they've held up great. Would recommend.

Brent, they are breaking due to the increase in angle from the lowered suspension.

Yes raxles are nice, but if you can modify your current axles for $5 (the price of the one time use nut) then why wouldn't you at least try it before spending $450 on a single axle??

Because what is happening is the grease is spitting out of the boot and killing the joint, all that it would take is maintenance of adding grease and the joints wouldn't overheat. Being static low tears through boots which raxle uses a much thicker boot that isn't prone to breaking/leaking.

Then why not try to find some heavy duty CV boots that won't break? Like find out where Marty gets them from and buy the same ones?

looks to me like it's the cv boot clamp that is slicing into the boot, causing it to split. i agree that a replacement boot and grind would be the way to go here.
you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3
