              Re: Epic flooding

After scrolling through some tweets by CPS, people are being asked to stay out of downtown as much as possible tomorrow, as there will be many closures. A fairly large section of the Beltline area is under the evacuation notice along with Chinatown and the East Village

Click on the area names on this page to see the evacuation areas. http://www.calgarycitynews.com/

                Re: Epic flooding

Spent from 11pm to 4am on my bike cruising around. From the reservoir down to elbow and 4th. Did the lap a bunch of times.

The suspension bridge on elbow from elbow to rideau is no longer a bridge. It is swinging in the tide.

A sea can hit the mission bridge.

Head pond didn't see that high. Elbow drive is flooded in sections.

Country club is flooded big time, that's going to suck. Especially for the greens.

                            Re: Epic flooding

Just spent 90 mins trying to get into the core

All the bridges seem to be shut down including the 4th ave flyover

Zoo bridge into inglewood obviously closed

                            Edmonton trail bridge obviously closed

                            10th bridge closed

I couldn't get through Crossroads / 17th south of Inglewood at all, cops had closed the roads, directing people southbound.

Basically could have made it to Chinook but I heard Mcleod was closed north of there... I am thinking elbow is closed? Not sure how I would get back north from there.

My friend told me 14th ave SW was closed off and most of the beltline access shut down as well.

Maybe from the west? Is bow open?

I gave up and went home.
