I've had this lens for almost a year and I keep forgetting I have it. Took a few shots tonight when I had a few minutes.

Which fisheye lens did you go with? Did you check any others before deciding?

        Re: Fisheye

if you are wanting a fisheye for fun and not a constant lens, id look into getting a macro i bought mine off ebay for 50 bucks, and it works great. I looked into a canon fisheye and even a tamron and you are still looking at spending over 800. So if you're wanting to shoot with it a lot that price is ok but just for here and there go with a macro.

I dont see how a macro and a fisheye are even remotely similar. Two completely different types of photography

Already got a macro. I'm in need of a wide to super-wide lens now.

Not intersted in your thoughts unless you are published in a magazine.

fisheye is no different than HDR and instagram filters.
making poorly composed pictures look "artistic".

thanks. so where can i buy an HDR/instagram lens for my 60d? i've looked online and cant find one of those, therefore making your post useless to this thread. also, if you think fisheye is equal to an instagram filter, then you need to re-read all those photography books you tout about.

its not useless, and they do have purposes, none of which have been showcased in this thread, but they dont make poorly composed photos look any better

They are called macro. All it is is a fisheye that screws into the end of your lens.. it is pretty wide works well for what i need. And like i said if you are wanting to shoot a lot with a fisheye then buy a sigma they are around 700(depending) or you could go stupid expensive and get a canon for 1300...
