I'm sure everyone here has this issue in your yard unless you've over-seeded your ass off for the last few years to choke them all out.
Anyways enough of using shitty weedbgone eco crap which does work but not enough for what you need.
My lawn isn't bad but i pulled front-back about 100+ dandelions a few weeks ago and now there are probably 100 more or the start of new plants.
fook them!
I found at home hardware in airdrie and probably cochrane you can get these things by weedex 'dandelion bars'
it has the original weed killer made in the 1940s and used up to oh 2008 when all the provinces banned it for eco friendly methods.. EXCEPT golf courses still get the good stuff
contains 2,4D herbicide which F's the weeds up good!
anyways 18 bucks a pop (i bought 3!)
i'm not sure how they can still sell it when i thought this stuff was banned for home use but i think because its not a liquid form it can't in theory leak into a water table.
used one last night and what it is is a big waxish bar you pull around your yard with the supplied string.. the friction from dragging wears it over the grass/weed leaves and wears down.. i still have probably 1/4 left and my yard is 35' rear, 58' front and 135' long to give you an idea for usage
anyways no dogs/humans,etc on the lawn for i'm giving it 3-4 days and in 1 week all those fucking dandelions should be dead.. aerate and over-seed and fertilize!
