    Yes living in Australia is not cheap at all, wages are indeed pretty high across the board but costs are very high. Comparison with other countries on an assortment of items with the US as the base (100%).

    Australia 159%
    New Zealand 135%
    Canada 120%
    UK 101%
    US 100%
    Singapore 84%

      ^this australia is like living in expensive canada but wages are pretty good but the fact the country has to literally import everything in makes it expensive for most items but i would still move there in a heartbeat..

      as far as the restaurants go its probably because its summer season now too.. alot of places don't take reservations anymore too (well except those using opentable it seems) because every night people come in regardless of how shitty the service/food is so they know they'll fill the tables up

      that being said i must admit i like that moxies doesn't charge us extra for our meetings since we have 40-60 people coming in on thursday lolz

        Aside from the point, as a pretentious foodie who tries to eat at all the good places, I think Catch is highly overrated for dinner!!!
