I just wanted to introduce myself here on the forum. My name is Richard I have been living in Alberta for the past year, I moved here from Abbotsford B.C. I have a 91 golf 8v that is my current project, nothing big planned I would like to eventually drop a 1.8T into here but the 8V has way too much life left in her. The only real problem I am facing is getting the car through out of province inspection. I live in Red Deer and love to wrench on anything so if any ever needs an extra set of hands let me know.

Well I haven't tried to take it through yet. The car although is in running and driving condition, is a project and has a few minor things that need to be taken care of. The previous owner cut out the fenders and quarter panels because it has been lowered and I haven't put any flares on yet. I also have to replace the windshield. I don't have a garage where I live so it has been difficult especially over the winter to get motivated and actually get any work done. I have been trying to find a shop that recognizes that it is a project and that I need it to pass so I can drive it for a few months in the summer time. I also don't want undo all of my previous work by trying to return it to stock.Comment
