Edmonton Road Trippin' Ideas

I'm leaving Edmonton for home (Yellowknife) in a few weeks. First though my wife is flying down to do some shopping. Before heading north I'd like to go for a two-day drive to show her the sights. I was thinking of Jasper and the Icefields Pkwy down to Calgary. Any suggestions/advice/funny stories?

Icefields parkway and Jasper are definitely must sees. Just outside of Jasper visit Miette Hotsprings. Hottest in the rockies, and its my fav hotsprings as its just out there in the middle of the mountains. Nature at its finest.

Done that trip multiple times and I can't wait to do it again, always see something interesting!

Also, gondola in Jasper >> Banff. Way way higher.

If you go to the Miette hotsprings and aren't a total wuss you can do the Sulphur Skyline hike, 4km each way, and have a day in Jasper.

What the guys said, plus Johnson Canyon, Athabasca Falls. Medicine Lake is a cool sight.

check out lake louise as well. its nice view too.
