Galaxy S3 Sudden Death Syndrome

Has anyone on here ever had a galaxy s3 that would turn off randomly and only respond by taking the battery out. If so how did you fix it?

Try going to your Odin menu. I believe you turn the phone off and hold power+vol down+home. If you can do that root it and load a custom ROM.

Edit: sorry after re reading does this sound like a hardware issue?

I'm not sure but android forums say this is a known issue with different fixes reporting positive and negative feedback.

Never had this on my GS3... although it randomly rebooted itself once. Mine ate the SD card I had in it last week though... it gave me a message saying the card was unexpectedly removed but even after putting it back in and trying it on the computer, nothing.

That is the current plan. My new job requires me to be on call and if I miss a call because my phone is off I'm in big trouble.

there's a 1 year warranty from Samsung, you should be able to return it and get a new one
