  • Gerty's Driverless Adventure

Last night my car went on an Quest across the street by itself. I parked her in my driveway in 1st gear and E-brake pulled as always. I came inside for 10 minutes then went back out to grab my wallet, at this time the car was still there, grabbed my wallet off the passenger seat, then admired her shininess and new headlights for a minute as I had just spent the last 2 days polishing and waxing, then went inside to bed.

A friend calls 15 minutes later while driving by and says "Your car is in the street."

Went outside to find Gerty teh GTi rubbing bumpers with a Honda CRV. Got in to put her back in my driveway and the E-brake was still pulled as high as it can go but she had decided on neutral instead of 1st. All after 2 days of polishing, wax and detailing she decides to take a walk across the street to play with a filthy Honda!

    F****n S***

This is why I can't have nice things.

Ya just scuffed the back bumper up. Im gonna pick up a new bumper once I get working and get the hood repainted. Took a large rock to the hood this winter on the highway left quite the dent. Just put a new clutch in as well. She has been quite an awesome car so far. Are you coming to the show tomorrow?
