No, because we can't feel the forces acting on us, however it's a pretty good simulator for training. There will be a transition from Gt5 to real life, but will be much easier than nothing.

Not being arrogant or anything, but I got 372th place in Gt academy 2012 final out of 1000000(probably 10000 serious drivers), just gave me a bit of confidence. Yes, driver is one of the more important factors.

Wow you did good on a video game? Congrats. You are in for a major surprise. I just hope you don't come back complaining how the car needs all sorts of upgrades to keep up with your driving.

If its your first time out on a track just learn how to drive. Don't worry about lap times and others. Trying to push is going to end bad on the track. I can speak from experience.

Umm, I'll just leave this here from my email to the organizers.

Hi Dustin

Once you take the school you have up to two years to apply for a license. Once you have the license you must renew it every year. You have to race once in a while for it to remain valid, but i am not sure of the frequency. The license is valid in the Prairie provinces, and is accepted in all Provinices in Canada when the right procedures are followed. (The right procedure is that you ask the Alberta license representative to confirm with the BC rep that you do indeed have a valid license) The license will allow you to run in the hill climb. However, the hill climb happens before the race school this year.

I think I'll get my suspension refurb and motor build finished this year and everything shaken down before I go flog the shite out of my car on the track for realz.

I dont mean to sound braggadocious n all, but i once played this game where i stole a sports car, crashed it around town, then i picked up a hooker. Once she did her business i beat her and stole all her money. Cops saw and tried to arrest me so i pulled out my gun and shot them. All of a sudden i had a whole swat team trying to take me in. No sweat. I ducked into a little shop and painted my car a different color. Whole scenerio just blew over.

Now i know this was just a game, but on a scale of one to potato, i'd be hard as f*ck in the real world. Just sayin...

I am going to point out this is an educational racing school there are no times no competitions this is to make people better drivers if you want to have side bets on lap times sign up for a track day and leave your spot open for someone else.

in GT5 i raced my Peugeot Race car around Le Sarthe and only crashed 22 times with all the driving aids on, i think im ready to challenge Audi at Le Mans this year.
