Adhesion promoter? Can I wax the calipers or would it just boil off when it gets hot?

why would you wax the calipers if your trying to paint them???

On a side note, I did sand mind down to remove all the dirt and grime that was built up. They were still rought to the touch and I used the same paint as Kim. Its been about 2-3 years now and looks like new still. Did about 3 coats I think.

I touched them up with 320 before paint. You can easily go form 2000 to 320 if he decides to paint them afterwards

              Re: Polished brake calipers?

I am proficient at polishing stuff ... unfortunately the cast metal of the calipers don't lend themselves to polishing . I recommend you get a brush on paint, It has worked way better than the spray paints have for us at the shop. industrial enamel or duplicolors brush on kits.

Thanks for the reply everyone, I'll try to polish one of my calipers first and see how we'll it works.
