This is home turf for me lol..
Pretty nice link you shared. Nearly as good as the Apex book from Gran turismo 5 collectors edition.
Some nice sticky tire is the first step. Fully adjustable coilovers. 2-3 degrees of camber. Raised boiling point brake fluid+ decent pads. LSD. 0.1-0.3 degrees of toe in. A bit more power and raised rev limiter. Adjustable Sway bar upgrade kit is not a must for mountain/ streets but does help on very flat trackes. Feel free to add more!

EDIT: basically most things the opposite the of what the MK4 people are doing.

steps to making a race car out of your mk4.
step one: buy stretched tires and lightish wheels.
step two: drop the car to the f*cking ground
step three: take sway bar out as a result of step two.
step four: buy nos
step six: buy more nos

=racecar mk4
im currently in the process if step two
