Adopt a wonderful dog!
Looking for someone special to adopt our special little pitbull, Maggie.
Shes a sweet dog with a lot of personality and a LOT of love to give! She really loves her people! Maggie needs to be the only dog in the house, because that is how much love she has to give.
Shes not aggressive, but she doesn’t understand dog behaviour and dog body language. She had a rough little start to life about 2 years ago. In 2011, at the tender age of about 4-5 months, she was rescued from an animal hoarding / backyard breeding situation where 34 pitbulls were seized from a home in Calgary. Due to her background, she had a few issues that we have worked on diligently over the past year and she has made huge strides and great progress to overcome her rocky past.
Shes been to training, knows her basic commands, and is a quick and eager learner. She responds very well to clicker / reward based training. She loves walks, but is also content with being a homebody and hanging out on the couch or in the yard. She LOVES water and spent all last summer lazing around in her kiddie pool. Also LOVES playing fetch until your arm is too sore to throw the ball anymore.
We want Maggie to have the best possible life, cause we love her a lot! And, right now she is stressed out with our other dog in the house – they are not really meshing as we had hoped they would.
If you want to adopt the best little dog into your only dog home, look no further. This is the girl for you!
Shes up to date on vaccinations, groomed and nails trimmed, spayed, fully house trained - never had an accident in the house, despite us being away for up to 8 hours a day / 5 days a week. Maggie will bring with her all of her stuff - her kennel, leash, harness, bowl, treats, ball, bed, blankets - everything.
Only serious inquiries by responsible people with good attitudes need respond. No need to be experienced "dog people" but must have love to give!
