  • Leather recondition?

So we got two kids (3 and 5 yrs olds) and we had car seats in the back of our Jetta and even though covers were used there is still indents from the seats, they've been outta the car for 2 months (was hoping they'd return to normal ) and there're better but I'd like to get them out completely ... What works the best or ideas ! Tia

I've heard a laying a hot wet towel repeatedly will eventually remove the indents. Some also incorporate an iron into the mix so they don't have to keep reheating the towel.

Once the indents are gone or back to normal as much as they can be, apply some leather balm / conditioner.

Leather conditioner and some time in the sun. Massage it between applications.

You can do the hot towel trick by putting a damp towel in the microwave for 1-2 mins, or until it is steaming. Remove it carefully (don't burn yourself with the steam!) and place it over the indent. Leave it there until the towel is cool to the touch then remove.
        Repeat a few times.

Once it is fairly well removed, apply a good leather conditioner and let it sit in the sun.

With time and conditioner it should come mostly out, but you - may - have a bit of a mark left.
