Company that test drives cars?

hey everyone, im not sure if this exists, but is there such thing as a company that can test drive a car for you? I am looking at a few cars here and and some that are over in the east and vancouver. I may not have the time to fly out to the car's location and drive it back to calgary. if there was a company that could test drive the car and report to me, i could have the car shipped.

if anyone know of a company that can do this let me know please and thank you!

Why not ask the owner to take it to a shop for you? Make arrangements with the shop to do a pre purchase inspection.

I did this with a 964 I was interested in on the island last year.

before i mad my purchase i was in the talks with the owner for about 4 weeks and then i had a ppi done..... thats kind of an extreme but i wanted to get a sense of the owner and im glad i did.

oops, yeah i guess i did'nt really think it through fully.... i guess an inspection would do the trick haha. thanks guys

PPI at Porsche saved me almost $6000 last year, it's a must.

Make sure you pick a reputable shop that the owner isn't affiliated with (formally or otherwise) as you could end up with a bunch of check-marks on a PPI that don't mean jackshit. Just ask (or search) ColinAndrews and see the saga he went through buying a noggy avant.

thanks, just read over that thread. thats rough, so i would definitely be sending it to a vw dealer, and get them to send me the report.

Poor Colin Andrews. I feel sorry for the guy. Whether he admits it or not, I swear that Audi turned him off from cars all together lol. He had a nice collection of cars for quite a while. I still want his buddy Chris's A4 Avant USP

if you dont have any buddies you would trust living out there to test drive it then do what everyone else has said, thorough ppi

Don't put 100%faith in a ppi, there are still some big things that they miss or can't catch. Like a porches cayenne turbo trans that my friend had to eat. It was only 8-15k loss. I will say that trans and clutch issues are the hardest to catch though. They typically round up, so you are the best informed.
