I would look at the Kia Optima. 30K full load with turbo. 0% financing and looks surprisingly good inside and out.

Mazda 3 GT package, looks nice, great build quality, good acceleration and it's auto/tip. Also gets 50mpg.

I mentioned the Optima, and the Mazda 3. He's a big guy, I don't think the Mini would be a good choice. He looked at the new Fusion today.

Fusion SE starts at $25k. That's a good start and way better than the Optima/Mazda3, IMO.

I'm surprised no one recommended the Passat. 1.9%!

He test drove an SE with the 2.0 Ecoboost and said that while he liked it and it had good pick up, the sticker of 32k+ was a little hard to swallow for what it was.

He's looking at new only. If he went for something used I'd just get him something wholesale through my dad for cost. Thanks for the offer though, you shouldn't have any problem selling it.

Yeah, he's going to take a look at the Optima. He's not a big enough car guy to go with the BRZ. I think they're extremely overrated anyways.

Turns out he wasn't a big fan of the Optima. I think I've turned him into a bit of a Euro/turbo snob. He says he's now considering used cars. I found him a nice 2010 Passat as well as a 2011 S40 T5 so he's going to give both of those a try though he seems to be leaning more towards the Volvo. Maybe a test drive with the VW will change his mind. Thanks guys.
