Anybody else watching the launch today? So far it looks pretty interesting with the new operating system.

Re: BlackBerry 10 Launch
worked in the cell phone industry for quite some time. Seen improvements and downfalls from many various aspects over the years.
So far, IMO, it's nothing too special. It's Blackberry rushing out yet another product to be competitive (or trying to) with Samsung and Apple.
Thus far, it looks quite a bit better than their previous OS, but only time will tell.

Re: BlackBerry 10 Launch
it doesn't matter if epople love BB10 or not, its what the street thinks of its ability to penetrate the mkt. i think the drop today was a clear message that it was nothing spectacular and any price bump for the new OS had been built into the share price and it didn't live up to expectationsTeam Highschool

Re: BlackBerry 10 Launch
^ this. Overall the Blackberry OS 10 software is not all that different than OS 6 or 7, they have added a few useless functions that you would never need. Also, the cost of their phones have sky rocketed as well, when the Bold 9900 was released in Canada, it was $499 new, flat out. The new Z10 is (from what I've heard) $699. Not worth it. We'll have to wait and see over the next 6-12 months how the software/phones hold up in the real world.
