  • Cutting VW Key

    Hey all,

Getting a few new keys, need to figure out where in the city can cut them (dealer is always an option as well but might be more expensive).

    - Immobilizer is defeated so no programming is required
    - Have current key if they need that to cut from
    - I can do the programming of the fob part myself

Anybody on here work at a place that can do this for me?

    Sean

Also interested in this. Gotta do more research on the immobilizer part though. I'm pretty sure mine would have to be programmed ('02 Audi A4)

Just went their and they charged $65 (should have gone to dealers). In and out under 5 minutes though.

                          Re: Cutting VW Key

I think just cutting isn't that expensive at the dealer, it's the programming that'll kill you. Some dealers will refuse to cut a key unless you bought it from them though
